Capetonian, Eaton de Jongh, has worked with sound & cameras for over a decade and loves the digital and technical side of film, video and stills production. Eaton has assisted a number of production companies transitioning from film to digital HD and has worked as a cameraman and sound recordist for Discovery Channel, France+Canal, BBC Entertainment and CNN. Eaton joined South African broadcaster e.tv in 2009 working as sound recordist, in-house camera operator & head of equipment for Sabido Productions and NHU until 2015. Since then he has been a sound recordist for ABC news and various documentary projects, filmed for CNN and has done sound on EPK’s, notably TV mini-series. You’ll usually find Eaton hanging out in the trunk of production vehicles checking his equipment.
